For these totalitarianism systems, freedom was different from the society. It is also the main theme of Nineteen Eighty-Four. The socialism, which also involves fascism in it, of the world in Nineteen Eighty-Four is a possible fear or alarm for the people who were living in post-war time and 1950s. Moreover, people of today should also take attention about the book for the future of contemporary time. Although, there are some superficial similarities between Nineteen Eighty-Four and today; the book’s society is so different from our modern, free world that this warning is not valid anymore. This will be obvious when we examine the issues of individuality, political state structures and rewrite of history issues in the book.
